Seriously, it's downright chilling when the vocalist cries, "Crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal. The music video for this song was released after Chester Benningtons suicide and its made of the bands history clips and footage from their 2017 world tour. This, of course, is hindsight, but it's near impossible not to see a ballad like "Crawling" (which first appeared on 2000's Hybrid Theory) as some kind of cry for help that no one ever heard. Im head-over-heels for their older music, but Ive noticed a gradual decline in my enjoyment of their music since Minutes to Midnight. Another thing to watch out for is the darkness creeping through Bennington's lyrics. One More Light is honestly a major disappointment, but I guess thats par for the course with Linkin Park albums.
